INGREMIO – innovative family company with 40 years of history
Ingremio is a family company that was founded in a small garage and today offers advanced technological solutions at the highest international level, setting global standards in many areas.
In 1983 Zbigniew and Elżbieta Kotulski opened a craft workshop in a rented garage with an area of only 12 sqm. Initially, they production covered fast-on connectors and protective hose pipes for electric cables installed in trailers; all items were produced based on home-made devices. In 1988 the company owner developed his own design of a production line and started manufacturing corrugated polypropylene pipes. The company began to build its reputation as Zakład Przetwórstwa Tworzyw Sztucznych (Z.P.T.S.) Peszel (Eng. Plastic Processing Plant).
In 1990, the political transformation in Poland freed the market, and ZPTS Peszel moved into its own newly constructed 250 m2 building. The company established cooperation with the automotive industry. In 1994, the company made the first purchase of production equipment from a renowned supplier from Western Europe. Simultaneously, the company owner developed the designs of his own production devices and technologies, based on his own projects. In the following years, Peszel reached other important milestones. In 1995, the production of polyvinyl chloride pipes for construction purposes was launched, and in 1996 – the production of polyamide pipes for the automotive industry. Moreover, in 1997, the first export sales were made.
At the turn of the century, the company faced important decisions and chose the path of continuous, ambitious development. In 2000, production was launched in a new headquarters located in Bolesław, with an area of 850 sqm. At that time, the company also changed its name to Z.P.T.S. Ingremio-Peszel. The Latin phrase ‘in gremio’ means ‘together’, emphasising the company’s family philosophy. During this period, the day-to-day management of the company was entrusted to the sons, i.e. Artur, who completed his technical studies, and Wojciech, who graduated from economic studies.
A quality department was launched in the new building equipped with basic devices for measuring the strength of corrugated pipes. The old headquarters was transformed into a research and implementation centre, where work on new, original technologies and production devices is continued to this day. In 2001, to meet the needs of the automotive industry, Ingremio launched the production of the world’s smallest 4.5 mm corrugated pipe cross-section using the production devices it had designed and built. A year later, the company implemented the ISO TS 16949:20002 and ISO 9001:2000 quality management systems. From that moment on, the company regularly participates in international trade fairs, including Light + Building, the ISH, and the Automechanika Frankfurt fair.
In 2002, using self-developed technologies and devices, the company also launched the production of INFLEX pre-insulated pipes, and in 2004 – pre-insulated pipes for INFLEX THERMAL geothermal systems. In the following years, the company continually expanded its product portfolio with new dimensions and types of pipes, for example, by introducing AirFlex ventilation ducts into production. Throughout the years of operation, the company has consistently invested in new production lines and halls.
In 2021, the company owner and his sons decided about the succession of the company. As a result, they created a new entity called Ingremio Bracia Kotulscy Spółka Komandytowo Akcyjna, which completely took over the operational activities of the previous company at the beginning of 2022.
Today, Ingremio has over 40 production lines and over 10,000 sqm of production, storage, and office space. It remains a company with Polish capital, and has been family-managed for over 40 years. In line with the original idea, the plant is constantly expanding, providing employment to workers from the region. It is strongly connected with the Bolesław municipality and the region of Lesser Poland.
As an industry leader in Poland, the company is also expanding into foreign markets. The commitment to tradition coupled with constant progress towards new challenges results in synergy, which is confirmed by our development, market position, expert opinions, as well as certificates awarded by independent research centres.
Today, cooperation in Poland and abroad extends to approximately a thousand companies and institutions. Thanks to a well-developed network of business partners, Ingremio products reach the European market, including Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Romania, Moldova, and beyond Europe, including China and Arab countries.
Specialists from the Ingremio team have implemented and commercialised several globally-innovative research and implementation projects. These include the production of pre-insulated pipes with a heating layer made of carbon nanotubes, the production of flexible Airflex Spectra ventilation ducts with microbiological protection, the production of Aqua Spectra pipes with microbiological protection for fluid transfer, or the production of filament with microbiological protection for 3D printing.
The innovation and modernity of companies is also reflected in their attitude to environmental protection. Concern for the world for which we are collectively responsible is reflected in Ingremio’s projects aimed at reducing waste production and developing environmentally friendly products. This approach has guided the company for many years. The company has its own recycling department, reducing waste and the burden on the natural environment. The company’s products, including Inflex Thermal pre-insulated pipes, are used in the systems based on renewable energy sources (RES). AirFlex Spectra ventilation pipes are used in recuperation systems which reduce heat losses in buildings.
